Cindy Hung is from Taiwan, but she moved to Guangzhou with her parents when she was very young because her family did business in Guangzhou. This allows her to speak Mandarin and Cantonese at the same time. Since primary school, she has traveled to different countries with her parents, which makes her appreciate the existence of different cultures and enables her to learn a lot of knowledge that is not available in books. As she grew up in a business family, she had attended board meetings with her father since college. She learned to read business files, financial statement and take notes from the meeting. This allowed her to learn about how to run a business in advance and become an organized and time-oriented person.
She went to boarding school since junior high school and moved to different cities by herself for high school and college. These experiences made her independent and self-disciplined from an early age. She majored in new media and communication at Hua Qiao University in Xiamen, China. After that, she moved to San Francisco and enrolled in the prestigious Master Fashion Merchandising program at the Academy of Art University. She has a deep passion for fashion and has been subscribing to fashion magazines since primary school and made her own scrapbook. She hopes to work in fashion one day, the Academy’s program allowed Cindy to gain valuable and let her understand the operation of the fashion industry, and let her in-depth knowledge in merchandising areas. That is one step closer to her dream.
